Dust the frame and glazing with a dry microfibre cloth; that is nearly all this piece will ever need. If the glaze marks, spray a little glass cleaner onto the cloth and never onto the artwork — liquid running under the glazing wicks into the paper and stains it permanently. Keep cleaner and damp cloths off the frame itself: oiled and lacquered timber needs a dry wipe only. UV acrylic resists yellowing but it is softer than glass, so avoid abrasive pads and paper towel, which leave fine scratches across the surface. Hang out of direct sunlight and away from bathrooms, kitchens and open fires, where humidity and cooking grease reach the paper. Check the fixing once a year and reseat it if the frame has shifted. If you ever reframe, handle the print by its edges only and keep an acid-free mount between the paper and the backing board.

At 52 × 52 cm framed this is a square, which behaves differently from a portrait or landscape: it reads as a single quiet block and works best centred, with space around it. Above furniture, aim for artwork roughly two-thirds the width — this suits pieces around 80–115 cm wide, such as a desk or narrow console. Hang the centre of the image 145–150 cm from the floor. Squares are unforgiving about alignment, so measure from both sides of the wall rather than eyeballing it, and check the frame is level twice. In a group, squares pair best with other squares; mixing one square into a row of portraits unbalances the line. If you hang two, leave 8–12 cm between them and align centres. Above a desk, drop it to about 30 cm above the surface.
